Position: OO3 Operations Officer

Location: Berrinba or Mutdapilly

Employment Type: Mon – Fri, 36.25 hrs a week until June 2026

Payrate: $42/hr + super

Maxima is currently seeking various highly motivated individuals as an Operations Officer for one of our government clients.

About the role:

In this role, you will play a key part in measuring fire ant densities, conducting surveys and ensuring that data and treatment processes are meticulously managed.

Key Responsibilities:

• Undertake training and conduct rapid assessment surveys of fire ant nest densities before and after aerial treatments in targeted areas.
• Utilize scientific methods as required to measure fire ant densities and evaluate the effectiveness of treatment.
• Maintain meticulous records of all collected fire ant data in accordance with established systems and processes.
• Work closely with team members and external stakeholders to support quality assurance, data storage, and delivery of treatment products and equipment to landholders and aerial contractors.
• Operate independently with high levels of initiative and self-motivation to manage the aerial treatment project effectively and resolve issues when they arise.

Mandatory Requirements:

• A current, unrestricted ‘C’ class driver’s licence
• Australian citizenship, permanent residency, or a visa with work rights

Highly Desirable:

• A licence to operate a forklift and/or an order picker will be highly regarded.
