Job Overview:
We are seeking a Food & Beverage Purchasing Manager to oversee the procurement, receiving, storage, and distribution of food, beverages, and related supplies. The successful candidate will ensure efficient inventory management, maintain supplier relationships, and uphold quality and cost control standards. This role requires a strategic mindset, strong leadership skills, and a commitment to operational excellence to support seamless service in a fast-paced hospitality environment..

Key Responsibilities:

Ensuring the warehouse operates at peak efficiency

Maintaining a safe and healthy work environment

Provide direction to the Warehouse team

Oversee and manage the daily logistics and inventory planning/escalations

Maintain positive relationships with key internal stakeholders,

Own raw material management including cycle counts and stocktakes, investigating and reporting on variances

Train, mentor, and motivate warehouse employees.

Develop and manage employee schedules to ensure adequate staffing levels

Coordinate shift coverage, leave requests, and workload distribution

Monitor attendance and adjust schedules as needed to maintain operational efficiency

Analyse ingredient costs and work with chefs to ensure menu items are priced for profitability.

Source cost-effective ingredients without compromising quality.

Monitor market trends to anticipate price fluctuations and adjust purchasing accordingly.

Requirements:

Experienced warehouse team member, ideally with a background in leading a warehouse team in a Food related industry

You have a passion for people leadership and love to develop the team around you

You are results driven with a good grasp on warehouse key performance indicators

You are a skilled communicator with the ability to build rapport at all levels

You are solutions focused with the ability to prioritize and multi-task
