About the Opportunity
Alchemy Recruitment Consulting is proud to be partnering with a local mining services company based in Nambour to recruit their next Senior Corporate Accountant. This role is offered as a permanent fulltime opportunity.

Please note: This role is an office-based role, 5 days a week. Work from home is not available.

Your next role:
The Senior Corporate Accountant will report directly to the Head of Corporate Accounting & Tax, being responsible for financial management, reporting and overseeing month end.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Prepare monthly and quarterly reports, as well as manage year-end closing activities, including group consolidation.
• Conduct month-end balance sheet reconciliations, review and approve journal entries.
• Support annual statutory reporting requirements
• Monitor budget performance, provide variance analysis, and prepare reports for management.
• Supervise and mentor accounting team members
• Regularly review and update accounting policies and procedures to maintain best practices.
• Offer insights and recommendations to internal and external stakeholders based on financial data analysis.
• Contribute to project reporting compilation and perform analysis.
• Assist in preparing annual budgets and financial forecasts, ensuring the accuracy of input data.

About you:

• 5+ years’ experience in a similar role
• Tertiary qualification in Finance/Accounting
• CA/CPA Qualification ideally
• Strong Excel skills, with an analytics mindset
• Previous experience with JDE Oracle or large ERP system use
• Excellent analytical, communication, and interpersonal skills.
