As we continue our expansion, we are seeking a Senior Corporate Accountant to play a pivotal role in managing our financial and management accounting functions at a group level. This role offers an exciting opportunity for an experienced finance professional looking to take the next step in their career.

The Opportunity

This is a broad and hands-on role within a fast-paced and evolving environment. The successful candidate will take ownership of financial reporting, compliance, and system improvements, working closely with key stakeholders across the business.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage the month-end close process for corporate cost centers, ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting
  • Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements for the Board and senior management
  • Complete and oversee balance sheet reconciliations across different business divisions
  • Coordinate and support the audit process, working closely with internal teams and external auditors
  • Ensure compliance with tax obligations, including statutory tax reporting, GST, FBT, and other financial compliance requirements
  • Support the integration of financial systems for newly acquired businesses
  • Assist in cash flow management and liaise with other finance teams to optimize financial planning
  • Implement process automation and continuous improvements to enhance financial efficiency and controls
  • Develop and document accounting policies and internal controls to ensure regulatory compliance and best practices
  • Work with cost center owners to prepare budgets and forecasts, ensuring alignment with financial goals
  • Provide financial analysis and insights to support business decision-making
  • Build and maintain strong working relationships with both internal teams and external advisors

About You

We are looking for an experienced and detail-oriented accounting professional who thrives in a fast-paced, high-growth environment.

Essential Requirements:

  • Tertiary qualification in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline
  • CA or CPA qualification (completed)
  • Minimum 5 years post-qualification experience in a financial accounting role
  • Strong technical expertise in financial reporting, management accounting, and internal controls
  • Experience working in both corporate and professional services environments is preferred
  • Proven ability to manage compliance, financial reporting, and stakeholder engagement
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills and proficiency in financial software packages
  • Strong understanding of tax obligations and financial regulations in Australia
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-evolving business environment

Desirable:

  • Experience in a healthcare or service-based organisation
  • Experience in financial system migrations and integrations
  • Exposure to M&A activities and due diligence processes
