Our client is a reputable not-for-profit and training organisation providing vocational education and training to the Aboriginal community health sector. A strong advocate for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander health in Victoria, they support 33 members in delivering culturally safe health and social services.

The Role

As an Assessor, you will be responsible for evaluating a student's performance in various SEWB (Aboriginal Social and Emotional Wellbeing) courses and providing constructive feedback to ensure students meet vocational standards. The role works closely with the compliance and mentor team ensuring timely assessment outcomes and feedback are provided to students.

This is a temporary contractor position with an initial term of 6 months. Hours will be part-time, with payment on timesheets and work delivered. Based in Collingwood, hybrid working arrangements will be considered where appropriate.

Key Responsibilities

• Assess the work submitted by students via the Learning Management System
• Provide constructive feedback to students
• Maintain accurate records of assessment activities and outcomes
• Ensure compliance with ASQA, professional accreditation bodies and funding body requirements

Successful Candidate

• Evidence of qualifications at or above Diploma level
• Evidence of an Assessor skill set and/or Certificate IV in Training & Assessment, or higher
• Extensive experience in relevant industry and industry currency
• Demonstrated knowledge, understanding, and commitment to Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander peoples, cultures and health (highly regarded)
