About the role:
We are seeking a Diesel Mechanic for a new role to help with growth of company, based at our Kilsyth location. Role includes repairing construction machinery, from Excavators, Mini Loaders, Skid Steers & Dumpers to light compaction equipment. This will be a fast paced role with plenty of overtime available for the right candidate. Work will be conducted both in house in the workshop and onsite in a fully equipped service vehicle.

About You:
To be a good fit for this role, you'll need:

• Qualifications: You need to be a trade-qualified mechanic (diesel, automotive, or light engine).
• Experience: You should have experience working on heavy and light mobile plant, such as excavators, skid steers, compaction equipment or similar. You also need to be good at diagnosing problems with hydraulic systems and minor problems with auto electrical systems.
• Skills: You need to be a good communicator, able to work independently and as part of a team. You should be enthusiastic and take pride in your work. Great customer service skills are also important.

About the Role:

• General Machinery Servicing: Oil and Filter Changing, cooling system servicing, greasing, belt adjustment and replacing, tensioning adjustments, machinery cleaning.
• Pre-Deliveries: Cleaning, check-overs, fitting components and accessoories for new and used machine build ups.
• General Maintenance: Disassembly and Reassembly of components, operating a press, lubricating of parts, general maintenance of machinery, painting.
• Electrical Maintenance: Diagnosis of 12v and 24v faults, repair and replacement of 12v and 24v systems and components.
• Hydraulic Maintenance: Diagnosis of hydraulic system, periodic maintenance of hydraulic systems, repair and replacement of hydraulic components.
• Basic Fabrication: Welding, Sawing, Grinding, Drilling, Bending.
• Housekeeping: Sweeping, cleaning, keeping workshop tidy, keeping amenities tidy after use.
• Field-Service: Occasional field service work as required.
