We're looking for a Heavy Vehicle Mechanic/Diesel Fitter with outstanding aptitude for the job, solid work ethic and a desire for long term employment, to join us in our Innisfail workshop.

The role will require you to repair and service a variety of heavy trucks, trailers, agricultural and earthmoving equipment and will include the following:

Carry out scheduled maintenance and breakdown repairs

Fault finding, diagnosing and repairing problems as required

Maintain, test and repair diesel engines, transmissions, brake systems and hydraulic systems

Inspect brake systems, steering mechanisms, transmissions and engines

Working unsupervised and as part of a team

Paid weekly, you will be offered a competitive hourly rate, with the opportunity for overtime, which may include overtime on a Saturday.

Your experience

Trade qualification as Heavy Vehicle Mechanic or Diesel Fitter.

Experience and proficiency in truck & trailer repairs essential

Exceptional organisational skills, with strong emphasis on time management

We are an approved inspection station, therefore approved examiner highly advantageous, but not essential

Heavy rigid license preferred

Current driver’s license is essential, forklift license desirable
