We currently have one (1x) Fixed term Full-time Vacancy available for immediate filling for a period of 9 months, with the possibility of extension.

A Pool will also be running for a period of 12 months.

About the role

The role coordinates the daily visitor services operations at the WA Museum Boola Bardip, including high presentation standards of exhibition and Museum areas, tour-guiding, some public programs, admissions, customer service, and public liaison; and ensures safety and security of the public and the Museum Collection.

Supervisory experience of a large team, a strong customer focus with a teamwork emphasis, and a can-do attitude are crucial requirements for this role.

The successful applicant will be expected to:

  • Supervise a large team including rostering, timesheets, and overseeing the daily allocations of staff.
  • Respond to the needs of a large cultural institution including daily operations and other events, as required.
  • Have excellent customer service skills in dealing with the public, educational institutions, and VIP visitors, with a passion and understanding of what makes a great visitor experience.
  • Coach and mentor the team to provide the best visitor experience.
  • A good knowledge of the arts and cultural sector is an advantage.

Pool Recruitment

This Pool will be open for a period of 12 months from the day after the breach of standard claim period closes. Permanent, fixed term, full time and part time appointments may be offered as vacancies arise; however, an appointment is not guaranteed.
