About the role

We are seeking experienced front-of-house (FOH) staff to join the team at our renowned Japanese fine dining restaurant, Takashiya. Takashiya has been awarded an AGFG Chef Hat for 2025 and is the Gold winner of 2024 National Awards for Excellence. This is a full-time position, part-time opportunities can be discussed based on availability.

What you'll be doing

• Providing exceptional customer service and creating a warm, welcoming atmosphere for our guests
• Taking orders, making alcohol recommendations, ensuring timely and accurate delivery of food and beverages
• Maintaining a high level of product knowledge to educate guests on our menu and offerings
• Assisting with table setting, clearing, and general front-of-house duties as required
• Adhering to all health, safety, and hygiene standards
• Contributing to a positive and collaborative team environment

What we're looking for

• Strong customer service orientation and the ability to provide a warm, personalised dining experience
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively as part of a team
• A passion for quality customer service and learning new things
• A proficiency in English and Japanese (preferred)
• A passion for Japanese culture and cuisine
