The Role

With the company’s foundations set and a large amount of resources at hand, we seek an experienced and enthusiastic professional with a passion for customer service and sales to fill our game-changing Sales and Client Services Assistant role specialising in bullion and jewellery.

Based at our Carindale store, this unique position and highly vital company role, provides the successful candidate the opportunity to play an instrumental part of the company’s success by working alongside our Retail Sales Manager to drive sales performance, and ensure exceptional customer service.

Please note the salary advertised is pro-rata as this is a part-time position.

About You

You will possess many of the following attributes:

  • A passion for providing exceptional customer service and the ability to "create" the ultimate customer experience.
  • Proven experience in sales and client services, or similar role.
  • Super proactive with a positive, friendly and can-do attitude.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • A team player who can integrate and work well with our team to exceed company expectations in relation to KPIs.
  • A fast learner who is motivated to succeed and has the ability to adapt to change and business growth.
  • Well organised with attention to detail and the ability to prioritise tasks.
  • Have good computer skills with an ability to learn new software while exhibiting a sound understanding of the Microsoft Office suite.
  • Jewellery, numismatics and/or precious metals experience looked upon favourably.

Responsibilities

  • Engage, educate and transact with customers in person and over the phone, in a pleasant and professional manner.
  • Complete precious metals appraisals, and facilitate the purchase of second hand goods from customers - gold buying.
  • Provide solutions to customer enquiries, ensuring a seamless and positive experience.
  • Facilitate a high level of customer service for all client engagements, fostering positive relationships with existing customers and developing connections with new customers.
  • Resolve customer enquiries promptly and professionally.
  • Assist with merchandising and displaying products, ensuring inventory is replenished as required.
  • Support promotional activities by assisting with displays, and informing customers about special offers.
  • Operate testing equipment safely, effectively and accurately to test precious metals (XRF machine, magnets, scales).
  • Collaborate with other team members to ensure smooth store operations, communicate effectively, and provide support as needed to maintain a positive working environment.
  • Handle cash and credit card transactions.
  • Assist with maintaining the cleanliness and tidiness of the store.
