About the Role
We are excited to offer a full-time opportunity for an experienced Medical Secretary to advance their career with us. In this role, you will work closely with our urologists, showcasing your exceptional time management, communication, and medical administration skills. You will be an integral part of our carefully crafted team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Communicating with patients and managing patient enquiries.
- Coordinating surgical/theatre bookings at multiple healthcare facilities.
- Managing diaries and travel arrangements for our consultants.
- Developing and nurturing relationships with other key healthcare professionals and facilities.
- Preparing and processing offsite clinics.
- Performing daily banking reconciliation.
- Managing patient enquiries and accounts (private and 3rd party billing, receipting, and bad debts).
- Scanning and data entry.
- Providing monthly reports to the Practice Manager.
- Assisting the Receptionist and other staff as needed.
About You
We are looking for someone who can work autonomously on specific tasks while effectively collaborating with team members. You should have:
- A mature work ethic and reliability.
- Full Australian work rights.
- A minimum of 2 years' experience in a surgical practice or similar role.
- Health fund billing experience, with knowledge of access gap arrangements.
- Excellent time management skills and the ability to prioritise workload.
- Outstanding attention to detail.
- Excellent organisational and multi-tasking skills.
- Well-developed written and verbal communication skills.
- Accurate data entry capabilities.
- The ability to work under pressure and use initiative.
