The Kids is looking for a highly motivated and experienced People and Culture Business Partner, to work across a range of people and culture initiatives and provide timely and accurate advice to our employees and line managers.
The Opportunity
We are looking for an experienced and proactive P&C Business Partner to join our team. This role, reporting to the Manager, People and Performance will be working alongside a dedicated and professional team and has come available due to parental leave cover. You will be responsible for the delivery and continual improvement of core people processes that support the employee life cycle, including recruitment, salary reviews and benchmarking, employee relations, projects, training and competency, onboarding and offboarding.

This role is full-time, maximum term for 12 months (parental leave cover).
The Role
Working closely with our broader P&C team, you will provide timely and accurate advice across a range of ER and generalist HR issues to the organisation, delivering a high level of customer service with a strong focus on providing pragmatic commercially relevant solutions that add real value in achieving Institute objectives.
You will influence, coach and support our leaders to achieve their operational and people objectives, provide support and guidance to the broader P&C team and help to develop and implement HR initiatives that promote a positive working environment.
The Experience
You will be a qualified and experienced HR professional who thrives under pressure whilst handling competing priorities. The key to your success will be your demonstrated experience in the following:
- Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills (written and verbal) with the ability to influence key stakeholders;
- Demonstrated experience with FW Act, NES, and up to date knowledge with other related legislation;
- Coordination of HR business deliverables including activities related to Salary Reviews, Managing Performance, Workforce Planning, Coaching, along with our twice-yearly Promotions process and coordinating the Honorary Appointments process;
- Excellent time management skills, with the ability to effectively negotiate and prioritise stakeholder requests;
- A strong customer experience focus, with the proven ability to collaborate, influence and foster teamwork;
- Sound commercial skills, with high levels of energy, presence and confidence to influence and engage at all levels, particularly building trusted relationships at senior level;
- Have substantial experience as a Human Resources Professional within a medium to large organisation providing accurate and timely advice on all HR related matters and a minimum of 3 years’ experience managing ER; and
- Significant emotional intelligence and insight with a proven ability to provide expert advice and hands-on solution design and delivery that contributes to a high-performance, accountable, future-ready and values-led organisational culture.
The successful candidate will be asked to provide a satisfactory National Police Check and Proof of working rights in Australia prior to commencement.
