Description

As a Medical Receptionist, you will be the first point of contact for patients and visitors to the practice. Key responsibilities include answering phone calls, scheduling appointments, managing patient records, and providing excellent customer service. You will also assist with billing, processing insurance information, and other administrative tasks. The ideal candidate will have previous experience in a medical or health care setting, be highly organised, and have a friendly, approachable demeanor.

Key responsibilities:

Greet and check in patients in a timely and professional manner

Answer calls and manage appointments and patient inquiries

Process patient information and update medical records

Assist with insurance verification and billing processes

Maintain a clean and organized reception area

Provide administrative support to healthcare staff as needed

To succeed in this role, the candidate must have excellent interpersonal skills, attention to detail, and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment. Prior experience as a medical receptionist or in a health care setting is highly desirable, but not required. Training will be provided. Profile

Strong communication skills, both written and verbal

Previous experience in a receptionist or customer service role (medical experience is a plus)

Excellent organisational and multitasking abilities

Proficient in Microsoft Office and basic office equipment

Ability to handle sensitive patient information with confidentiality

Strong attention to detail and ability to prioritise tasks effectively
