About the role

We are currently seeking a dynamic and professional Events Coordinator. We are looking for someone who is a natural people person, a great communicator and who is passionate about delivering exceptional events and seeing their clients satisfied. Your role is hands-on and will personalise the client’s journey from the booking process, coordination and successful completion of Weddings, Special Functions, School formals, Baby Showers and more. As part of the role, you will be revising the marketing approach across events and our Nostimo restaurant to showcase the functions, specials and hospitality we proudly host. You will work closely with the Events Director and the General Manager.

The successful applicant will contribute to a range of communications activities within The Greek Club, including website management and an emphasis on organising and executing events.

Key Responsibilities:

• Customer Relationship Management: Encourage the team to develop and maintain strong relationships with customers, ensuring a memorable experience
• Clients: Liaise with clients over the phone, via email and in person and respond appropriately to client feedback
• Meetings: Attend relevant internal weekly events meetings
• Networking: Represent The Greek Club at networking functions as required
• Inspections: Conduct site inspections as needed to assist clients in their event planning
• Events: Work closely with the Event Director and General Manager to coordinate events across The Greek Club, ensuring seamless execution and high-quality service
• Business Development & Strategy: Develop and implement initiatives to drive business growth, including identifying opportunities to increase customer engagement, sales, and market share. OR Marketing & Promotion: Oversee events marketing strategies, staying up to date with the latest trends
• Budgeting & Reporting: Monitor event budgets, track revenue targets, and report on key performance indicators. Provide accurate forecasting & maximise lead conversion into sales. OR Sales quoting: Provide support to the sales in quoting, negotiation and contracting events
• Local Business Partnerships: Foster relationships and engage directly with local businesses and organizations to drive collaborative marketing opportunities, cross-promotions and avenues for function sales.

Key Qualifications & Skills:

• Minimum 3 years' experience in a similar Events Coordinator role, ideally within The Hospitality Industry
• Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent in Marketing, Event Management, Communications or similar is highly regarded
• Strong organisational and multitasking skills, with the ability to manage multiple events and deadlines simultaneously
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities, with a client-focused approach
• Takes initiative and has a strong drive to improve event processes and marketing strategy, once proven you will have flexibility and autonomy to create in the role
• Demonstrated ability in Adobe Creative Suite, Microsoft Office, email marketing platforms, event booking platforms (Eventbrite and/or Humanitix), and website content management systems.
