- Are you a dynamic and agile team player with the ability to drive your own projects with attention to detail and creativity?
- Are you interested in a flexible hybrid role?
Who are we?
Adopt Change is a for-purpose charity, working towards a home and healing for all children in the Australian care system. In NSW we operate the the My Forever Family NSW program, designed to support foster carers, kinship carers, guardians and adoptive parents along their journey and increase the number of carer homes for children across NSW.
The Role:
We are looking for a full-time Events & Projects Manager to manage events and project activities across the organisation. This includes larger scale events such as conferences and picnics, through to a range of projects.
As Events & Projects Manager, you will be responsible for scoping and budgeting events and managing project timelines for deliverables. You should be able to work both autonomously and as part of a wider team.
You will have substantial experience in planning and organising events and projects, excellent computer skills, exceptionally high standard of written English and scrupulous attention to detail in all aspects of work. In your role as Events & Projects Manager, you will have strong project, event and people management experience, along with the ability to manage relationships, both internally and externally.
Working closely with our Communications and Operations team members and external agencies, you will be required to deliver key events on the Adopt Change annual calendar, including for our NSW program. Events include large scale picnics, events, workshops and training. As the role comprises an element of coordinating digital and online events, you will be required to have (or the ability to quickly learn) an understanding of digital event platforms and how to deliver innovative and engaging events in the online space.
To be considered for and ultimately be successful in this role, you will need to have:
- Qualifications in Events, Business, Project Management, Communications or related field
- Minimum five years experience as an Events and/or Project Manager
- Ability to scope, follow plans and deliver outcomes
- Experience in managing event budgets and timelines
- Experience in executing a range of events
- An understanding of video conferencing platforms. (While you may not have experience in the systems we use, you must be adept at learning new technologies).
- Ability to operate effectively in an environment characterised by frequent change, short timeframes and competing demands.
Whilst not essential, a background in community outreach or NGO environments with a strong audience focus will be highly regarded, as will digital events experience.
If you’ve got a ‘can-do’ attitude, innovative ideas and the ability to execute event plans, we want to hear from you. In exchange for your commitment and experience, we offer a family friendly and flexible working environment as well as salary packaging benefits. We encourage diversity in applications and are open to possibility of offering a part time role.
If you want to be part of a committed and innovative team making a real difference to the welfare of children, have empathy, drive, and commitment to help us realise our organisational goals, we’d love to hear from you.
