My client is a highly reputable financial services firm offering financial planning and mortgage broking solutions to their valued and loyal clients.

Currently due to growth an exciting and rewarding opportunity has arisen for an experienced Mortgage Broker Assistant to join the team on a permanent full time basis. The business is very established and employs approx 50 staff. This role will report into the General Manager and work very closely with the sole highly experienced, passionate and knowledgeable Mortgage Broker.

About the role

As a mortgage broker assistant, you will be managing/assisting with the loan application process from post the initial client enquiry, through to settlement, post settlement along with any other administration tasks allocated by the company.

Duties include

• Managing new and existing client relationships
• Management of client file workflow processes
• Application review, data-entry and lodgement through aggregator software – MYCRM
• Adherence to all lender and regulatory compliance requirements and lending processes
• Participating and taking responsibility in office administrative and functioning tasks
• Be first point of contact for new and existing clients via telephone and email.
• Provide exceptional customer service, managing inbound leads by scheduling broker meetings and addressing any client queries or concerns promptly.
• Assist in managing the workflow to ensure timely processing of applications.
• Liaise with clients, lenders, and other stakeholders to ensure a smooth loan & settlement process.
• Collect, verify, and manage client documentation required for loan applications.
• Monitor the progress of loan applications and provide updates to clients and brokers
• Support the Mortgage Brokers with administrative tasks as needed. Assist with every loan submission, ensuring accuracy and completeness while maintaining up-to-date and accurate client records within the CRM system.
• Managing ongoing client review program.
• Contribute to the development and implementation of efficient processes and systems to enhance service delivery.

Skills and experience

• Proven experience in end to end mortgage loan processing
• Positive, team oriented, can-do attitude with a good sense of humour
• Critical thinking and problem solving
• Excellent customer relationship skills to enable nurturing of customers throughout the entire lending application journey.
• Excellent communication and time management skills
• Experience in using aggregate software (i.e., MyCrm) is not essential, but would be highly regarded
• Completion of Certificate IV in Finance and Mortgage Broking is not essential, but would be highly regarded
