Reporting directly to the Marketing Manager, this newly created full-time role will complement our existing marketing activities, focusing on media relations, internal and external communications, events, and general marketing activities.

We are looking for a strong communicator with exceptional writing and research skills, a deep understanding of social media, and the ability to build relationships across various stakeholders. This role requires adaptability, creativity, and a proactive approach to storytelling and brand representation.

Core Responsibilities:

1. Media Relations:

Draft and distribute press releases for Pearls of Australia, Cygnet Bay, and Broken Bay brands.

Act as the primary contact for media outlets, responding to inquiries and proactively fostering relationships.

Liaise with media outlets for brand coverage across print, online, and broadcast platforms.

Monitor online brand mentions and proactively secure backlinks to enhance SEO and digital presence.

Coordinate media visits,, and manage content creators (e.g., Sunrise, Channel 7, influencers).

2. Communication & Content Coordination:

Develop and implement communication strategies that align with brand goals.

Maintain a consistent brand voice across all communication channels.

Manage and update the CRM database.

Create and curate content for multiple platforms, including:

Website, blog posts, social media (Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, TikTok, etc.), EDMs, and PR materials.

Research and test emerging social platforms, particularly those relevant to Asian markets.

Write and edit website copy and marketing collateral.

Assist with award submissions and other business communications.

3. Event Coordination:

Assist with the planning and execution of brand, experience, and product promotional events.

Provide PR and communications support for key events, ensuring brand messaging is aligned.

4. Reporting & Analysis:

Track and report on media coverage, PR activities, and digital content performance.

Deliver monthly reports on communications and media outreach success.

5. Other Key Responsibilities:

Stay up to date with industry trends, implementing innovative strategies where relevant.

Provide guidance on best practices for media and communications.

Assist in coordinating sponsorships and donations.

Support the broader marketing team with general activities as needed.

2+ years of experience in a similar role.

Experience with:

Active Campaign or similar EDM/CRM platform.

Understanding of SEO and digital content best practices.

Additional Requirements:

A valid driver’s license is strongly desirable. The role may involve occasional travel between Mooney Mooney and Woy Woy for content creation and site visits.
