About the position

The Site Safety & Quality Officer plays a critical role in ensuring a consistent and effective approach to Work Health & Safety (WHS) and quality assurance across the NSW Parliamentary Precinct and 98 Associated Electorate Offices during construction works. This includes providing expert advice, fostering compliance with WHS legislation, and driving initiatives to enhance all safety, quality, environmental and project coordination processes.

This position drives safety and quality initiatives, develops and maintains essential WHS and quality management documentation, and ensures compliance with relevant legislation, policies, and procedures. Key responsibilities include stakeholder consultation, safety and quality risk assessments, incident prevention, performance reporting, and ensuring quality control measures are embedded within all project activities.

About you

We're looking for a proactive and detail-oriented professional with a strong background in work health and safety (WHS), quality assurance, and construction compliance. This role requires someone who can confidently navigate safety regulations, engage with stakeholders, and drive a culture of safety and quality across multiple construction projects.

In addition to the essential requirements, we value excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills to foster collaboration and compliance and a proactive mindset with a commitment to continuous improvement and best practices in WHS and quality management.

2. Continuous improvement is key to ensuring high safety and quality standards. Can you share a time when you identified an opportunity for process improvement in WHS or quality management? How did you implement the change, and what was the impact?
