About the role

We are seeking an experienced Bar Manager to join the team at Rydges World Square, a leading hotel in the heart of Sydney's CBD. As our Bar Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our vibrant hotel bar, ensuring exceptional customer service and maximizing revenue. This is a full-time position based in our Sydney CBD location.

What you'll be doing

• Manage and supervise all bar staff, including scheduling, training and performance management
• Develop and implement strategies to drive bar sales and profitability
• Oversee bar inventory, ordering, and cost control procedures
• Ensure high standards of customer service and bar presentation are maintained at all times
• Monitor and analyse bar performance data to identify opportunities for improvement
• Collaborate with the food and beverage team to create promotional events and seasonal beverage menus
• Ensure full compliance with all relevant liquor licensing and health and safety regulations

What we're looking for

• Minimum 2 years' experience as a Bar Manager or in a similar role within the hospitality industry
• Proven track record of driving bar sales and profitability
• Excellent customer service and people management skills
• Strong working knowledge of bar operations, inventory management and cost control
• Passion for the hospitality industry and a commitment to providing an exceptional customer experience
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team and lead by example
• Relevant bar management qualifications or training
