Role Description

The core function of this role is to lead the Sales, and Business Development functions for the business. Reporting to the Managing Director this is an executive role within the business which requires a high level of capability and integrity. A key focus of the role will be to improve the reach and capability for the business, implement systems and processes which efficiently and effectively generate sales throughout the world, engage with new clients and partners, and build the business locally and abroad. The role will also collaborate with the Technical and Commercial teams in developing new opportunities to deliver value to our clients, identify new opportunities, and improve to the overall business performance. You will be exposed to doing business in different regions throughout the world, solve unique problems, gain exposure to many different industries, and be guaranteed a continual learning and development curve.

This is a Perth based, full-time on-site role for a Vice President of Sales. The Vice President of Sales will be responsible for global sales, key account management, developing our sales network, identifying new markets, and delivery of the overall sales strategy to drive revenue growth and client satisfaction.

You role will be responsible for leading and expanding a strong sales team and regional network of agents. Strong leadership skills and people development is essential.

It is crucial that the person is globally orientated and has a track record of building international business relationships and delivering growth in sales.

High integrity and EQ is non negotiable for this role, as is a focus on building long term business relationships over taking ‘quick wins’ or shortcuts.

Key Role Functions will include:

  • As a key member of the executive team you will have the opportunity to actively support the broader business and gain exposure to the different business functions and teams
  • Be an integral member of a small high performing team
  • Leading Sales and Business Development, and Marketing functions for the business
  • Business development and direct discussions with Clients, OEM’s, Service Providers, Agents, Partners and other stakeholders
  • Support tenders and commercial proposals
  • Develop and Improve business systems and processes
  • Identify and manage business risks associated with the Sales and BD functions and broader team
  • Oversea delivery of projects throughout the world.
  • Contribute to the overall business strategy and development plans
  • Build, manage, and scale the sales team, ensuring a strong organizational structure, clear roles, and a culture of accountability.
  • Foster a high-performance culture focused on results, continuous learning, and professional growth. Provide ongoing training and development to enhance team capabilities and performance
  • Drive continious improvement and opportunities for the business.

Essential

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related field; or demonstrate competence through experience and industry training.
  • Previous experience in a senior Sales or Business Development role
  • Confidence to meet and engage with external parties and stakeholders
  • Understanding of contracts and commercial risk
  • High level of integrity and awareness (EQ)
  • Desire to create change, eliminate resource waste, deliver sustainable solutions and enable new business models
  • Entrepreneurial minded individual who can demonstrate 2nd and 3rd order thinking with a hunger for innovation
  • Interest in international business and developing new business opportunities in a global marketplace
  • Curiosity and self-motivation to learn and develop
  • Able to demonstrate high quality execution and tangible outcomes in previous roles
  • Focus on developing people and creating a team culture - no ego

Desirable

  • Direct experience in international offshore experience
  • Drive to create sustainable business outcomes
  • background in Upstream Oil and Gas, Energy or other Heavy Industry sector
