City of Perth Surf Life Saving Club
The City Beach Surf Life Saving Club overlooks the beautiful Indian Ocean, with three functions rooms able to be used individually or as a single space, flowing through to a courtyard with promenade and the Galley, our kitchen and bar. We host a broad variety of events and functions, from art exhibitions to weddings, corporate workshops and training.

Role
As a functioning surf lifesaving club, key areas of the Club such as education, training, surf sports and fundraising also use the event and function facilities and the role will be required to look after all aspects of these bookings.
The Function and Events Coordinator is a highly organised individual who will manage new and existing events held within the Club, maintaining high standards of service and hospitality. You will have a passion for events and functions.
Duties
- Manage enquiries, follow all leads and secure bookings for non-member functions and for member event and function requests.
- Manage the events and function calendar, ensuring all assets are optimised, and the needs of our community are balanced with the commercial.
- Manage booked functions to meet deadlines for vendor correspondence and food and beverage requirements, and collaborate and manage all external suppliers to ensure smooth and accurate function delivery
- Coordinate all event operations as required and ensure adequate staffing including briefing of team to ensure timely event set-up, communicating with staff and organising vendors.
- Plan, schedule and organise Club events within designated time frames, and budgets including annual dinners, awards and celebrations.
- Undertake the financial and reporting aspects of the function and event operations.
- Write and submit weekly club newsletter, and drive socials for functions and events
- Build and create new opportunities in the event and function offering
- Operate within and contribute to the overall management and administration of the Club.
- Put forward new ideas and processes to improve overall operations.
- Support day to day running of the club.
- Minutes for executive meetings.
- Social media input.
- Hands on role.
Reporting
The position reports to the Club Manager.
