We are seeking a full-time Functions & Events Manager to oversee the planning and coordination of functions, events, and entertainment at Caloundra RSL Services Club.

Who we are looking for:

As the Functions & Events Manager, you will play a pivotal role in driving the success of our events and business growth. Your key responsibilities will include:

• Planning, organizing, and booking a variety of functions, events, and activities to drive revenue and profitability.
• Maximizing the utilization of club and venue facilities, ensuring seamless coordination with operations teams.
• Developing new business opportunities, particularly in the corporate sector, to target repeat business.
• Managing and leading the Functions & Events team to ensure efficient event planning and execution.
• Ensuring all events comply with budget guidelines while delivering high-quality service.
• Cultivating and maintaining strong client relationships to foster long-term partnerships.
• Achieving and exceeding revenue and profit targets while ensuring exceptional event execution.

Pre-requisites:

• 2-4 years experience in Business Development and/or Functions/Events management in the Hospitality Industry
• Responsible Service of Alcohol certificate (RSA)
• A strong knowledge of hospitality operations
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Have the ability to multitask, prioritise and manage time effectively
• A team player attitude with demonstrated leadership skills
• Ability to work a flexible roster including nights and weekend shifts
