Power and Water Corporation is a Northern Territory Government (NTG) owned utility that operates across a geographic area of 1.3 million square kilometres and within a range of diverse environmental conditions, ranging from the arid dry of the central desert to the tropical monsoon of the top end. The corporation generates, transmits and distributes electricity, supplies water and wastewater treatment services across the Northern Territory for the benefit of residents, including remote and isolated Aboriginal communities and outstations.

We have an exciting ongoing position available in Tennant Creek, that will offer you the opportunity to build your career in the water and waste-water industry.

The Technical Coordinator role undertakes responsibility by coordinating and overseeing the operation and maintenance of Power and Waters, water and sewerage systems within Tennant Creek and the Barkly Region. Ensure that water and wastewater systems are operated and maintained to agreed service levels, quality standards and licence requirements through efficient and effective management of the day-to-day operation and repairs/maintenance of those systems and assets. Assist in the development and execution of preventative and planned maintenance and minor capital works programs. Coordinate, control and manage internal and external resources including contract management to achieve operational and maintenance programs as allocated.

You will need to have significant experience in the installation, operation, repair and maintenance of equipment associated with water and wastewater systems including experience in the use of SCADA systems for system monitoring and fault diagnostics.

You will have essential qualification AQF Certificate III/IV in water or wastewater operations or formal trade certificate in a related field. Appointment level will depend on knowledge, skill and experience.
