We are looking for a Part-Time Administrative Assistant to join our team in a flexible, family-friendly environment. Role Overview:
As our Administrative Assistant, you will play an essential role in supporting our daily operations and ensuring smooth and efficient office management. This role operates under the direction of the Office Manager and Director, ensuring that all tasks are aligned with the business’s needs. Your duties will include general office administration, as well as specific tasks related to MYOB and SimPRO, so prior experience with these systems is highly preferred.
Key Responsibilities:
- General office duties including answering phones, managing emails, and greeting visitors
- Data entry and maintaining accurate records
- Assisting with accounts payable & receivable using MYOB
- Managing job schedules, receipting purchase orders and updates using SimPRO
- Filing, document preparation, and general office support as required
- Coordinating appointments, meetings, and calendar management
- Ad hoc administrative support for various team members
Key Requirements:
- Prior experience with MYOB and or SimPRO
- Proficient in using Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook
- Strong organisational and multitasking skills
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- A positive, can-do attitude and a willingness to contribute to a friendly office culture
- High attention to detail and accuracy
- Flexibility to work within school hours (for those with school-age children)
- Ability to follow instructions and work collaboratively under direction
- Personality and attitude are key – looking for someone who will mesh well with our existing team
- Ideally suited for a mature adult or person with relevant experience in administrative roles
