About the role

Our Cafe is seeking an experienced Cafe Manager to oversee the day-to-day operations of our busy cafe in the heart of Melbourne's CBD. As Cafe Manager, you will be responsible for leading a passionate team, ensuring exceptional customer service, and driving the financial performance of the business. What you'll be doing

• Manage and oversee all cafe operations, including scheduling, inventory management, and financial reporting
• Recruit, train, and develop a high-performing team of baristas, servers, and kitchen staff
• Foster a positive and customer-focused work environment
• Implement and monitor operational procedures to ensure efficiency and consistency
• Analyse sales data and customer feedback to identify opportunities for improvement
• Collaborate with the head office team to develop and execute marketing and promotional strategies
• Ensure compliance with all relevant health, safety, and food hygiene regulations

What we're looking for

• Minimum 2 years of experience in a cafe or hospitality management role
• Strong leadership and people management skills, with the ability to motivate and develop a team
• Excellent customer service orientation and problem-solving abilities
• Proficient in financial management, including budgeting, forecasting, and cost control
• Working knowledge of inventory management and procurement processes
• Familiarity with relevant health and safety regulations in the food and beverage industry
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
