About the role

Smoults Larder' is seeking an experienced Cafe Manager to lead our vibrant cafe in Maylands, WA. As our Cafe Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of cafe operations, from managing staff and inventory to delivering exceptional customer service. This is a full-time role with opportunities for growth and development within our dynamic hospitality business.

What you'll be doing

• Oversight of all daily cafe operations, including staff management, customer service, inventory control, and daily sales.
• Developing and implementing strategies to improve efficiency, productivity, and profitability
• Ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations, as well as company policies and procedures
• Fostering a positive work culture and providing leadership and training to the cafe team
• Liaising with suppliers and managing inventory to maintain product availability
• Monitoring and analysing key performance indicators to identify areas for improvement
• Collaborating with the marketing team to develop and execute promotional campaigns

What we're looking for

• Minimum 2 years of experience in a cafe or restaurant management role
• Strong leadership and people management skills, with the ability to motivate and develop a team
• A commitment to providing high-quality dine-in and takeaway options, with a strong focus on excellent customer service.
• Skilled in managing inventory and reading financial reports.
• Demonstrated experience in driving sales and implementing initiatives to improve business performance and profits
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities
• Familiar with relevant health and safety regulations in the hospitality industry
