About the Role

Currently, we have a position available for a Senior Medical Receptionist at our Specialist consulting suite located in Melbourne. This is an interesting and varied full-time position.

In this role, you will be the Senior receptionist for our BMI Clinic, Specialist clinic and the Infusion Clinic. The role includes:

  • Enhancing the company image by being the first point of contact for our clinic and providing an exemplary service for patients
  • Managing phone and face to face enquiries about our services from both patients and medical practitioners, with diligence and professionalism in a timely manner
  • Scheduling of appointments and procedures
  • Management of all patient data and correspondence with a high level of accuracy and impeccable attention to detail
  • Invoicing and receipting of patient accounts and management of daily Banking Reconciliation
  • Maintenance of equipment and database updates
  • Ordering of office and medical supplies

About You

As the successful applicant, you will ideally have experience in a similar position working with Specialists. You will also preferably have:

  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
  • Professional personal presentation, with an energetic "can do" attitude
  • First-rate customer service with the ability to maintain and exceed our standards even when under pressure
  • Proven organisation and planning skills, with the ability to manage competing demands within a busy, high-pressure environment
  • Meticulous attention to detail and accuracy, with professional respect of privacy and confidentiality of all patients
  • Reliability and dedication to our team
  • Demonstrated initiative to improving protocols and processes with an ability to think laterally and holistically
  • Proven ability to lead and motivate a team
  • Proven ability to handle delicate situations and manage conflict resolution autonomously with sensitivity
  • Demonstrated ability to motivate and manage a team, delivering change, performance management and problem solving.

Qualifications & experience:

  • Minimum 3 years proven senior level reception experience in a similar role
  • Excellent knowledge of computers and relevant software (Genie)
  • Excellent knowledge of administrative and clerical processes
  • Extensive knowledge of customer service principles and practices
