About the role

As the Roster Officer (Care Support Officer) at Ipswich Nurses', you will be responsible for creating and managing the roster for our dedicated team of carers. In this full-time role based in Ipswich, Queensland, you will play a critical role in ensuring our clients receive the high-quality care they deserve by effectively coordinating our workforce. Utilising your exceptional organisational and communication skills, you will be instrumental in supporting our operations and contributing to the overall success of our community-focused organisation.

What you'll be doing

  • Preparing and maintaining the roster for our team of care support staff
  • Liaising with clients and care support staff to understand scheduling requirements and preferences
  • Allocating staff to shifts in a way that optimises coverage and efficiency
  • Monitoring the roster and making adjustments as needed to accommodate changes
  • Providing support and guidance to the care support staff on rostering-related matters
  • Maintaining accurate and up-to-date records of staff availability, leave, and shift patterns
  • Identifying and implementing improvements to the rostering process

What we're looking for

  • Proven experience in a roster management or administrative role, ideally within the aged care or disability support sector
  • Excellent organisational and time management skills with the ability to prioritise and multitask
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to liaise effectively with clients, care support staff, and other stakeholders
  • Proficient in using rostering and scheduling software, as well as standard office productivity tools
  • A passion for providing high-quality care and supporting our community
