We are a national leader in the importing and distribution of food items. We have sites and customers across Australia and are growing the business into all states.

Your Mission:
As the Corporate General Manager, you will be the driving force behind profitable growth, market expansion, and operational excellence. You’ll lead with vision, shaping strategies that align with our objectives while adapting to the unique dynamics of the FMCG industry. Your leadership will cement the company’s position as a market leader, foster exceptional customer relationships, and cultivate a high-performing team culture to ensure long-term success.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Strategic and Commercial Leadership: Define and implement a winning market strategy to drive revenue, expand market share, and maximize profitability. Ensure alignment with our commercial growth strategy while tailoring approaches for local market success. Drive an ambitious local growth agenda.
  • Operational and Financial Excellence: Oversee end-to-end operations, ensuring efficiency, effectiveness, and scalability. Manage financial performance, including budgeting, forecasting, and P&L accountability, to ensure sustainable growth. Identify and mitigate risks, ensuring business resilience and regulatory compliance.
  • Leadership and Team Development: Inspire, mentor, and develop a high-performing sales, marketing, and operations team. Foster a culture of collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement. Champion diversity, inclusion, and a strong organizational culture based on trust and responsibility.
  • Stakeholder Engagement and Market Influence: Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, customers, partners, and investors. Represent the company as a trusted industry leader, driving brand visibility and credibility. Advocate for sustainable practices and corporate social responsibility initiatives.

Success Metrics (KPIs):

  • Revenue growth – Drive net sales and market expansion.
  • Profitability – Ensure strong EBIT performance and financial health.
  • Market share – Increase distribution points and strengthen sell-out performance.
  • Operational efficiency – Deliver best-in-class processes for sustained business success.

What You Bring:

  • Proven executive leadership experience – Several years of experience in a senior leadership role, ideally as managing director, general manager, or commercial director in a high-growth, competitive industry, preferred in FMCG business.
  • Strong commercial acumen – Demonstrated success in driving revenue growth, expanding market share, and managing P&L.
  • Strategic and hands-on leadership – Ability to define a big-picture strategy while effectively managing day-to-day operations.
  • Market expertise – Deep understanding of the local market, its challenges, and opportunities, with a strong network of industry contacts.
  • Financial and business management – Experience in budgeting, forecasting, risk management, and financial reporting to ensure sustainable profitability.
  • Exceptional people leadership – Track record of building, leading, and inspiring high-performing teams, fostering a culture of innovation, trust, and accountability.
  • Stakeholder management – Ability to engage and influence internal and external stakeholders, including investors, partners, and customers.
  • Innovation and digital mindset – Forward-thinking approach to technology, digital transformation, and business innovation.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor Degree
  • At least 2 years proven experience in FMCG Industry
