Boundary Creek Timber are seeking an experienced and dedicated allrounder to join our sales and logistics team on a full-time basis. The role includes overseeing timber sales to large contractors through to the face to face sales to the general public, including handling and loading timber from the yard to customer vehicles. The position also involves co-ordination of transport operations including organisation of local and statewide deliveries and scheduling of backloads.

Duties & responsibilities:

• Prepare and submit sales quotations and updating customer records
• Answer phones and emails to provide accurate product information and lead times to customers
• Load timber onto vehicles and ensure chain of responsibility laws are followed
• Coordinate with delivery truck drivers and sawmill staff
• Build and maintain strong customer relationships
• Coordinate logistics for timber deliveries and backloads
• Oversee logistics and administration of domestic water deliveries
• Update data spreadsheets

Experience & attributes:

• Prior sales experience and timber or building knowledge is advantageous
• Proficiency with computers and Microsoft Office Suite
• Familiarity with Xero software is beneficial
• Good mathematical skills and memory for facts and figures
• Physically fit to perform manual handling and lifting
• Solid organisational and problem-solving skills
• Keen attention to detail
• Effective teamworking and collaborative skills with other departments
• Forklift licence an advantage
