Your new role

• Support planning for the provision, development, and management of high-quality open space, recreation, sport, and community facilities.
• Prepare and review strategic documents/plans, land use plans, capital works projects, and grant applications.
• Respond to customer enquiries and internal planning referrals.
• Undertake research and source data on current planning, trends, and statistics.
• Prepare project and Council reports with recommendations.
• Engage the community in planning and decision-making processes.
• Represent the organisation at official functions, meetings, and seminars.
• Promote the values of Dream Big, Empower Each Other, and Make our Community Proud.
• Adhere to child safety and emergency management responsibilities.

What you'll need to succeed

• Tertiary qualifications and/or experience in planning, data analysis, recreation and open space, community facilities planning, or a similar field.
• Skills and experience in grant submission preparation and report writing.
• National Criminal History Check.
• Valid Victorian Driving Licence.
• Ability to manage time effectively between teams.
• Strong interpersonal skills to gain cooperation and assistance from clients, the public, and other employees.
• Understanding of relevant technology, procedures, and processes.
