In this pivotal role, you will take charge of shaping the strategic direction and lifecycle planning for the Council's Transport and Stormwater asset portfolio. This position focusses on aligning with Strategic Asset Management principles to enhance asset serviceability and longevity, all while addressing the current and future needs of the community.
Your new role
As the Strategic Infrastructure Planner, you will lead the coordination of inspection and maintenance programs, ensuring these essential assets continue to meet high service standards. This is a unique opportunity to make a meaningful contribution to community infrastructure by applying your expertise in civil planning and strategic asset management:
- Lead the integration of climate risk considerations into the lifecycle planning of the Transport and Stormwater asset portfolio, demonstrating strategic leadership.
- Mentor, support, and provide expert guidance to the Integrated Water Management Officer, fostering professional growth.
- Incorporate Water Sensitive Urban Design (WSUD) principles into the planning and development of new projects, promoting sustainable urban infrastructure.
- Contribute to the development, review, and implementation of comprehensive Transport and Stormwater Asset Management Plans.
What you'll need to succeed
To excel in this role, you will possess a tertiary qualification in Civil Engineering, along with proven experience in Civil Asset Planning, Strategy, and Asset Management within a Local Government setting. Additionally, you will bring expertise and a strong understanding of the development and review of Drainage Strategies, Policies, and Integrated Water Management practices.
