The Company

Paragon Talent Solutions has been engaged to to assist a leading Australian owned Industrial solutions organisation who provide their Mechanical, Electrical and Control Systems services to a range of industries. It’s a particularly exciting time for our client who is now seeking a Senior Control Systems Engineer who has in-depth experience of FactoryTalk, FactoryTalk Historian and ControlLogix. This is a permanent position to be based in Sydney and the successful candidate will be working on a north American based mining project.

The Position

As a Senior Control Systems Engineer, you will be responsible for:

• Taking ownership of the control systems element of the project
• Producing functional designs, programming and setting up historians to a high standard
• Configuring and commissioning of control systems at the latter stages of the project
• Interpreting P&ID’s
• Producing and completing documentation
• Implement the relevant network and communication protocols including Modbus and Profibus
• Working closely with other disciplines including mechanical, process engineers etc

This is an exciting period for my client who is currently very busy. This position would suit a Senior Control Systems Engineer who is highly proficient with the Rockwell suite of products, mainly FactoryTalk, FactoryTalk Historian and ControlLogix. It’s anticipated that this mining project with have a duration of 2-3 years attached to it and you will need to be able to hit the ground running and work autonomously as well as work well within a team. An excellent salary of $140K - $170K plus super is available

Your Experience

To be considered for these positions, you will possess:

• Expertise of Rockwell/Allen Bradley FactoryTalk, FactoryTalk Historian and ControlLogix
• Strong project lifecycle execution experience
• Capabilities of interpreting P&ID’s
• The ability to consult with stakeholders at all levels and maintain solid relationships
• Experience of maintaining and troubleshooting systems
• Proven experience of working autonomously as well as working within a team
• Mining experience or similar heavy industry knowledge preferred
• A degree or diploma in Computer Sciences, Computing, Electronics, Electrical engineering or similar
