Penfold Property Group is a boutique residential development team seeking an enthusiastic Accounts & Administration Assistant to assist with the day-to-day operations of the business. We are a small, professional, and friendly team, dedicated to providing housing solutions for owner occupiers across the Greater Brisbane and Logan regions.
About the Role
The Accounts & Administration Assistant will provide comprehensive day-to-day accounts and administrative support to the Penfold team. The ideal candidate will be highly organised, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple tasks simultaneously. This position involves a variety of responsibilities, including providing accounts support to the CFO, managing the office inbox and correspondence, performing errands, and overseeing administrative functions. Strong communication skills, and attention to detail are essential.
Key Responsibilities:
- Accounts Receivable/Payable: Assist with accounts receivable and payable duties including bank reconciliations, month end reporting and credit card reconciliation.
- Data Entry & Database Management: Input and maintain information in company databases, spreadsheets, and software, ensuring accuracy and up-to-date records.
- Communication Management: Screen and manage emails, phone calls, and other correspondence, ensuring that urgent matters are prioritised and addressed.
- Office Management: Maintain an organised and efficient office environment, including managing the PO Box, office supplies, equipment, and any administrative tools or software.
- Document Preparation & Filing: Prepare reports, presentations, and other business documents; manage both digital and physical filing systems for easy access to information.
- Travel Coordination: Book and organize domestic and international travel, including flights, accommodation, and transportation when required.
- Event Planning: Assist with the planning and coordination of business events, including meetings, and social gatherings.
- Other Duties: Provide additional support as needed, including project coordination, booking car services, arranging insurance and ad-hoc requests.
As the successful candidate you will have:
- Minimum 1 year’s experience in a similar role or have transferable skills.
- Familiarity with accounting program Xero or similar accounting software.
- A proactive approach to resolving issues and excellent attention to detail.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and other relevant software/tools.
- Strong organisational and time-management skills with the ability to prioritise tasks effectively.
- A positive, proactive attitude and a commitment to delivering high-quality support.
- Full unencumbered Driver’s License.
Work Environment:
This position is based in Brisbane CBD and may require occasional travel.
As a valued team member, you can look forward to:
- An annual salary of $65,000 plus superannuation consummate with experience.
