Role
Are you a commercially focused finance professional with a passion for driving performance? We’re seeking a Finance Commercial Manager – Operations to partner with business leaders across aged care, retirement living, and home care, optimising financial outcomes through strategic planning, data analysis, and revenue growth initiatives.
You’ll play a hands-on role in financial planning, forecasting, and reporting, using your insights to influence decision-making and enhance organisational performance. This role is key to improving profitability, managing financial risk, and delivering commercially sound strategies aligned with operational goals.
- Partner with operational GMs to improve financial understanding and performance drivers.
- Lead financial planning, analysis, budgeting, and forecasting, ensuring alignment with strategic goals.
- Identify and drive cost optimisation initiatives in collaboration with operations and procurement.
- Provide financial modelling support for key decisions including revenue strategies, accommodation pricing (RAD/DAP), and capital planning.
- Monitor and report on key performance metrics, offering actionable insights to leadership teams.
- Enhance financial literacy among regional and facility managers through engagement and coaching.
- Ensure accurate, timely financial reporting with meaningful commentary for leadership and stakeholders.
- Support risk management and ensure compliance with relevant financial and regulatory standards.
Person
- CPA, CA or equivalent qualification.
- Strong experience in financial planning, analysis, and reporting in a complex organisation.
- Expertise in cost management, revenue optimisation, and risk management.
- Proven ability to engage stakeholders and influence outcomes across operational teams.
- Demonstrated commercial acumen with strategic financial insight.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with advanced Excel and modelling capabilities.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Desirable:
- Experience in aged care or health sectors.
- Proficiency with ERP systems and business intelligence tools.
- Experience in M&A, investment analysis, or strategic finance projects.
