Randstad is currently recruiting for multiple Business Support Officers and Administration Officers to work within a busy State Government Agency. This will require a high level of Records management, administrative skills, good communication, and ability to work in a fast paced environment.
- FOI / RECORDS OFFICER POSITION TO ASSIST A MAJOR STATE GOVERNMENT PROJECT
- $48 - $55 per hour + Superannuation
- Full Time Hours, Monday - Friday
- Long-term contract, temp to perm opportunity
- South the river location - Assessable by Public Transport
Role:
- Process and respond to Freedom of Information (FOI) requests within legal timeframes.
- Ensure compliance with FOI laws, data protection regulations, and internal policies.
- Review and redact sensitive or exempt information before release.
- Maintain accurate records of requests, responses, and decisions.
- Liaise with internal departments to gather requested information.
- Provide training and guidance to staff on FOI policies and procedures
- Provides executive support to the Records Project team.
- Supports the teams/workstreams in undertaking activities as related to the Records Project.
- Receives and assists the Managing Records Project team in the preparation of responses to queries an issues identified.
- Liaises with team members and stakeholders to ensure the timely preparation of information and responses to queries.
- Coordinates the administrative functions of the office including project calendar, meeting minutes, payment of accounts, team leave plan, records management and facilitates the management of data bases as required.
- Maintains and updates administrative practice, systems and procedures to improve efficient add service
- delivery.
- Undertakes research and collects information from a range of sources to assist the Managing Records
Essential:
* Administration support experience and skills.
* Communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to maintain productive relationships with a range of
stakeholders in various contexts.
* Ability to resolve problems.
* Organisational skills with ability to manage competing demands and timelines.
* Ability to work autonomously and within a team environment.
