As a Workplace Support Engineer, you will play a crucial role in assisting our front-line Conveyancing staff with the technologies they rely on to support customers. Your responsibilities will span hardware, software, networks, and security, ensuring seamless operations and an optimal user experience.
What You Will Do
IT Support & Helpdesk
- Provide Level 1–3 IT support, managing tickets and ensuring timely resolution.
- Troubleshoot hardware, software, and network issues across Windows and Mac.
- Maintain IT documentation, training and self-service resources for users.
- Manage and work with external software vendors and service providers.
User & Access Management
- Manage user accounts, authentication, and permissions (Active Directory, Entra ID, Office 365, Google Workspace).
- Enforce security best practices, including MFA and access audits.
- Automate user onboarding, offboarding, and provisioning.
Hardware, Network & Infrastructure
- Oversee IT asset lifecycle (procurement, deployment, maintenance, and decommissioning).
- Support corporate network, VPN, Wi-Fi, printers, and video conferencing equipment.
- Optimise IT inventory and ensure hardware availability.
Security & Compliance
- Understanding of Australian Cyber Security Centre’s Essential 8
- Proven experience in a GRC, IT security, or compliance role within technology area
- Implement Endpoint Security (Microsoft Intune, Defender) and enforce cybersecurity firewall and local access policies.
- Automate patch management and strengthen firewall, admin privileges, and encryption.
- Conduct security training and ensure compliance with IT policies.
Backup & Disaster Recovery
- Maintain and improve data backup, recovery, and business continuity plans.
- Regularly test disaster recovery processes.
Collaboration & Automation
- Administer Microsoft 365, Google Workspace, Slack, Jira, and SIP/PBX phone systems (3CX, Twilio).
- Automate IT workflows and integrations to improve efficiency.
What Success Looks Like
- Provide best-in-class workplace technology support to the Conveyancing business and remove reliance on external desktop support providers.
- Harden cybersecurity policies and tools, providing a more secure and reliable technology offering,
- Manage networks, domain names, etc, used by the business.
- Contribute to a positive and collaborative team environment.
About You
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or equivalent experience.
- Ability to prioritise tasks effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills with a proactive approach.
- 3+ years of experience in a Level 3 Support Operations
- At least 5+ years of experience in a Level 1, 2, 3 desktop support environment.
- Hands-on experience with Microsoft 365 administration, including Microsoft Office Suite, Entra ID, and Intune.
- Familiarity with helpdesk ticketing systems (Jira Service Desk, ServiceNow, etc.).
- Strong expertise in PC & Mac hardware, software installation, troubleshooting, and maintenance.
- Proficiency in networking concepts (TCP/IP, DHCP, DNS, VPN, Wi-Fi, LAN/WAN).
- Experience with Device Management / Remote Management, Patching, Endpoint Security Solutions & Compliance Enforcement.
- Knowledge of hardware procurement, asset management, and supplier/vendor coordination.
- Experience working with Managed Service Providers (MSPs) and third-party vendors.
- Bonus: Telephony platform experience (3CX preferred) and VoIP troubleshooting.

The office for this position is located in Norwest, Sydney and requires a mostly onsite work presence. We have our business presence in other states within different time zones, so may require a person capable to work with these teams sometimes or as required.
