Our client is a large NSW government department that provides extensive education services.

The Enterprise Architecture - Group Operations division is working end-end across a portfolio of extensive Salesforce solutions - for both new capabilities and enhancements to existing architecture

Job Description:

The Salesforce Architect will be responsible for designing, defining and guiding the enterprise architecture for Salesforce solutions - ensuring that solutions are fit for purpose across all architecture domains; including business, data, technology, and security.

The role requires a deep understanding of Salesforce capabilities, integration strategies, and best practices to deliver scalable, secure, and efficient solutions.

Responsibilities:

• Lead the architecture and design of Salesforce solutions - ensuring they align with enterprise architecture principles, business objectives and security requirements.
• Define end-to-end solution architectures across Salesforce products (e.g., Education Cloud, Service Cloud, Experience Cloud) and integrations with external systems.
• Develop high level and detailed architectural designs - including application, data, integration, security and infrastructure components.
• Ensure Salesforce solutions support various departmental initiatives by defining data models, governance frameworks and integration patterns.
• Collaborate with business and ICT stakeholders to understand requirements, map business processes and drive solution adoption.
• Provide technical leadership and guidance to development teams; ensuring adherence to best practices, standards and governance policies.
• Identify and mitigate architectural risks - including performance, scalability and compliance considerations.
• Maintain architecture documentation - including diagrams, roadmaps, and design decisions
• Engage with vendors and partners to evaluate new Salesforce capabilities and recommend enhancements to the existing architecture.

Skills and Experience:

• Extensive experience in Salesforce architecture, solution design and implementation within large scale enterprises.
• Strong knowledge of Salesforce products - including Education Cloud, Service Cloud, Experience Cloud and Salesforce integrations.
• Expertise in data modelling, security frameworks and API led integrations (REST, SOAP, middleware platforms).
• Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills - with the ability to articulate complex solutions to technical and non technical audiences.
• Salesforce Architect certifications (e.g., Application Architect, System Architect) are highly desirable.
