What you'll do

As the 'Business Manager' you will lead and manage a diverse team of business services staff across a range of corporate services functions by providing strategic and contemporary leadership. The role is responsible for ensuring that the team meets all departmental budget management, HR and procurement requirements and maintains a high level customer service focus. In this role you will lead a small team in deliverying efficient and effective business services, enabling strategic and operational objectives. The Business Manager partners and collaborate across the department together with your Divisions Leadership Team to deliver agreed business outcomes aligned to organisational, business and operational plans utilising contemporary best practices and process.

About you

The successful candidate will demonstrate:

• Expert knowledge and experience in the interpretation and application of contemporary financial management, human resource and procurement legislation, policies and frameworks.
• Experience in successfully leading, managing and developing a diverse team within a high-pressure environment.
• Proven ability in developing and implementing business improvement initiatives to directly enhance service delivery outcomes and expectations.
• High level consultative, interpersonal, communication and negotiation skills, as well as conceptual, analytical and problemn solving skills.
