About the Opportunity
The Business Design Manager leads the Business Design Team ensuring that expertise in business analysis and business process design is provided to Transformation Programs and Projects at ASC.
As part of the Transformation Office Leadership Team, this position works with the broader ASC business when large scale changes to business processes and models are required. The role involves fosters positive working relationships with all stakeholders to deliver on the organisation’s transformational objectives.
The primary focus will be on the Digital Transformation Program (DTP), with some alignment activities managed across the Transformation Office (TO).
This role is Full Time, based in Henderson WA or Osborne SA.
Responsibilities
- Manage the Business Design Team, including Business Analysts, Business Process Design specialists, and Subject Matter Experts (SMEs).
- Ensure business requirements and customer needs are understood and reflected in Transformation Programs and Projects.
- Provide business analysis and design expertise, services, and support to Transformation Programs and Projects.
- Gather and document business requirements, maintaining a requirements baseline.
- Provide change impact analyses in collaboration with the Organisational Change Management Team.
- Oversee business and functional design activities related to Transformation Office projects.
- Ensure the involvement of appropriate SMEs and stakeholders in Transformation Programs and Project workstreams.
- Contribute to Transformation Office methodologies, tools, and templates.
About you
- Minimum 10 years in a business process design/ reengineering, and/ or senior business analyst role in a complex organisation/ program.
- Minimum 5 years of team leadership/ management experience in large and complex environments.
- Demonstrable experience successfully delivering significant changes to business processes in complex and challenging environments.
- Strong stakeholder engagement and management skills, with experience engaging at all organisational levels, including the Board.
- Solid knowledge and experience in organisational change management.
- Contemporary IT management and transformation experience.
- Ability to gather, understand, and prioritise customer requirements in complex environments.
- Strong collaboration and relationship-building skills.
- Experience in Defence or similar security-sensitive industries is desirable.
- Qualifications/certifications in Business Analysis, Business Process Design, Lean, Six Sigma, or related disciplines are desirable.
Eligibility
