The beauty of this key level position is that it isn't a field-based role other than spending time with our clients' external sales team at appointments from time to time. You will leverage your extensive network and relationships with prominent architects, designers, builders, and developers to generate project specifications and exert influence.

You will possess a versatile skill set and the ability to adapt to the constantly changing requirements of the role, which encompasses analytical skills, and strategic and tactical insight.

In this role, you will build, maintain, and strategically grow new business within the architectural sector and construction tender markets for our client's architectural range of products. You will oversee all aspects of specifications, tendering, and builder account management, ensuring the timely and successful delivery of solutions to our customers and enhancing the overall customer experience.

You will be driven to break things down before building them back up and you will understand disparate elements of a business function as a whole, in turn, identifying and executing on opportunities to deliver growth and profitability.

In essence, our client is in need of an experienced Sales manager to take this area of the business to the next level.

You will ultimately be responsible for:

  • Delivery of annual revenue & profit targets (including projected growth targets)
  • Attainment of yearly specification objectives
  • Projects are specified and quoted in line with fit for purpose designs and competitive pricing
  • Increase market share by converting new opportunities in consultation with the GM, National Business Manager, and Sales and Design Teams
  • CRM & inhouse reporting software is proactively updated by Sales (including customer strategy, key contacts, visits, presentations and project correspondence)
  • Work with the amazing down to earth General Manager to develop, monitor and execute the business strategic plan
  • Identify opportunities for new product development, including market feedback, in consultation with the GM, National Business Manager, and Design Team
  • An innate facilitator of change, who is engaging, supportive, and fosters collaboration within the team, capable of establishing and agreeing upon a vision and instinctively working towards its realization
  • Ensure you stay informed about any changes in the competitive landscape, including new products entering the market, significant wins, or operational changes for your competitors. Provide quarterly market updates and competitor activity reports

Mandatory

  • Degree in Business, Sales, Marketing or similar, or commensurate professional experience
  • Proven experience as a Key Account Manager, Senior Sales Executive or National Sales & Marketing Manager
  • 5+ years’ experience in B2B sales
  • A strong background and understanding in flexible space systems, including commercial facades, windows and doors, operable walls, acoustic sliders and systems, agile panels, door systems, and decorative screens, is highly sought after
  • Ability to grasp technical concepts and products
  • Proficient in Estimating & Quotes, including bidding on quoting manufactured products
  • Capable of interpreting plans with a keen understanding of what motivates people in the field

Sales & engagement

  • 5+ years of management experience leading results orientated teams
  • Previous system (SysPro, V6, SAP, or other) experience and/or exposure
  • Sound understanding of technology within a manufacturing environment
  • Previous experience in the construction industry
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft office suite and other manufacturing software programs
  • Pro-active learner; willing and motivated to learn all product, systems and market information
  • An ability to work and contribute as part of a team; see beyond job role, department and division to what matters to the entire business
  • Able to ‘bring the fun’ whilst recognizing the need to deliver our client's plan
