A unique opportunity for an Operations Supervisor - Contract - 3 days per week

PURPOSE
The role is to supervise and provide support for the staff of a gentleman with complex disabilities to assist him to live safely and participate in his community. The Team Supervisor will oversee the delivery of personalized support for a single client, a Service For One Operation, ensuring the delivery of high-quality, person-centered care. This part-time role combines administrative responsibilities, some direct support work, and the unique opportunity to help the client and his support team grow a micro-business.

With ongoing support from a multidisciplinary team, and Management Team, the Operations Team Supervisor will play a key role in fostering the client’s independence, well-being, and the Teams entrepreneurial success.
Key Responsibilities
Client Support and Care
- Ensure all care services align with our client’s individual needs, preferences, and his NDIS plan and goals.
- Ensuring all community access is done in a safe and meaningful way for participation and community inclusion.
Micro-business Development
- Support the client and his staff to grow a micro-business, with skills to attract new customers and encourage networking in the community.
Leadership and Team Management
- Supervise and mentor a small team of disability support workers. Day and Night shifts
- Work with staff on any dispute resolution
- Foster co-operative, professional staff relationships, embrace good culture and diversity and build on a collaborative work environment
- Ensuring policies and procedures are followed on shift
- Ensuring all OH&S requirements are being meet on shift
- Organize workshops and or in servicing as needed
- Organize and manage Team Meetings
- Collaborate with the multidisciplinary team, including business mentors, to provide guidance and resources.
- Attend management meetings with external stakeholders
- Maintain our client management system records
Administration and Compliance
- Develop staff roster and ensure adequate coverage for client needs. 24/7.
- Time sheet management for staff
- Provide Human Relations support for all staff, maintain HR records
- Assist in recruitment, training, and oversight of employee’s development
- Maintain accurate records of care and business activities.
- Organize annual personal reviews with every member of staff
- Ensure compliance with NDIS guidelines, you must have a good working knowledge of the NDIS and how it operates, understand their policies and legislation
- Maintain organizational policies and procedures.
- Maintain our client management system recording
Collaboration and Communication
- Act as the primary liaison between the client, their family, and external stakeholders.
- Work closely with the multidisciplinary team to ensure holistic and integrated support.
Selection Criteria
Essential Criteria
- Relevant qualifications in Disability Support, Community Services, Business Management, or a related field.
- Experience in operational management, disability support, Human Resources,
- Experience required in NDIS compliance and regulations
- Prior experience working with clients - Autism, ADHD, Intellectual disability
- Strong understanding of person-centered care
- Demonstrated ability to balance administrative tasks with hands-on service delivery.
- Excellent organizational, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Availability for flexible scheduling, including day and evening shifts (for training purposes)
- A valid driver’s license and reliable transportation to work.
- Current NDIS Worker Screening Clearance
- Current Police Check
- First Aide Certificate, CPR certificate, or willingness to obtain.
Desirable Criteria
- Experience in community, developing relationships with external interest a must.
- Ability to develop networking in the community.
- Experience in social enterprise/micro-business development an advantage although not a necessity
- Proven experience working within a behavior support framework, understanding of behavior support plans and implementation
- Previous experience working with multidisciplinary teams.
- Use of client management recording systems.
Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
- Quality and consistency of client care from staff
- Successful progress of the client’s micro-business.
- Successful progress of the client's community access participation.
- Staff satisfaction and performance, and performance development.
- Timely and accurate completion of administrative tasks.
- Compliance with all relevant NDIS regulations and standards.
- Compliance with all relevant company policies and procedures.
Hours of operation:
Employment Type: Contract – 12 months - Part-Time - on going after 12 months
Hours: 30 hours per week consisting of (flexible arrangement)
2 days Administration, in house = 16 hours per week working with the Director for implementation of role
1 day with day per week working in the operation with the Team Leader = 8 Hours per week - to observe and learn how the operation runs.
Hours: Evening Shift – 1 shift per week
Evening shift start 5pm to 11am – 6 hours to observe and learn how the operation runs.
Work-Life Balance: No weekend work required.
Total: 30 hours per week
