We are a non-for-profit incorporation set up to support an amazing artist by the name of Hayden that has Autism. Hayden lives is his own rented home in Greensborough.

We are on the hunt for vibrant, engaging and experienced community support worker to join our team on a casual bases. If this position sounds like you, read on for more details.

Essential criteria-

*Certificate IV in disability support or higher qualification

*First aid certificate

*Unrestricted drivers licence

*Current police check

*Experience in adhering to documentation standards, specifically recording daily case notes and reports

*Understanding of Person Centred Support

*Proficient using technology (including apps) and Google Drive

*Available for Day shifts (9-3), Evening Shifts (3-10pm) & Sleepover shifts

A willingness to learn the unique way that Hayden needs to be supported.

Interests in art, woodwork, cooking and crafts.

About the role

Hayden Support Services INC' is seeking a Disability Support Worker to join our team in Greensborough, VIC on a casual basis. As a Disability Support Worker, you will play a vital role in providing compassionate, person-centred care and support to individuals with a range of disabilities, enabling them to live independently and actively participate in their community.

What you'll be doing

• Assisting clients with daily living activities such as personal care, meal preparation, and light housekeeping

• Facilitating and supporting clients to engage in social, recreational, and community-based activities

• Advocating for clients' rights and ensuring their needs are met

• Maintaining detailed client records and documentation

• Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement personalised support plans

• Providing a safe, inclusive, and empowering environment for clients

What we're looking for

• Relevant qualifications in Disability Support, Community Services, or a related field

• Experience working with individuals with a range of disabilities, including physical, intellectual, and/or psychosocial disabilities

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport and trust with clients

• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to think creatively to address client needs

• A genuine passion for making a positive difference in the lives of people with disabilities

• Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends and public holidays

• A current driver's licence and reliable vehicle (desirable)
