We are currently seeking a Disability Support Worker for casual positions in Ilkley, Mountain Creek, Palmwoods, Meridan Plains, Nirimba, Rosemount, Kawana, Buderim, Yandina, Currimundi, Dickie Beach and Peregian Springs. Award rates on offer with the possibility of a Salary Sacrifice package up to $18,550 per year to maximise take home pay.

Position 1 - Male Disability support Worker - Ilkley

Looking for a mature male support worker to support an older man in Ilkley.

The ideal person for this role will be flexible, understanding, patient and non-judgmental. Must be someone who is keen to help out with mechanical jobs in the home-shed, as well as small household tasks at times including cooking, cleaning, and taking the participant to appointments and shopping. The suitable person must also be comfortable with technology and completing daily recording and other admin tasks as required. A background in motor mechanics is an added advantage.

Shifts required are for 2 days per week from 8am - 2pm on Mon, and Thursday or Friday.

Position 2 - Disability Support Worker – Mountain Creek

Seeking a young support worker to assist a 21-year-old young man with Autism, who lives with his family in Mountain Creek.

Support involves assisting the participant to engage socially in the community, as well as attend scheduled appointments and complete life-admin related tasks. At times, shifts may involve support within the home environment, focusing on household chores and building independence.

The ideal support worker for this position must be open-minded and have a good sense of humour. They must also be flexible and have an understanding of Autism in young adults.

One or two shifts per week are required initially (days negotiable) and may increase after some time.

Position 3 - Disability Support Worker - Palmwoods

Looking for a reliable support worker with availability to support a 9-year-old boy with Autism and Epilepsy. The participant lives with his parents and 3 siblings in Palmwoods.

The support is within a busy family environment and will include school pick-ups, driving the participant to therapy appointments, emotional and behavioural support within the home environment, and some light household duties.

The ideal participant will have previous experience with young children with Autism and must be available to fill the shifts required. Shifts are needed every Wednesday, Thursday and Friday afternoons from 12:30 or 2:30pm (depending on day) until 6:30pm. Additional shifts may be available at times.

Position 4 - Female Disability Support Worker – Meridan Plains

We have a position available to support a teenage girl who has Autism and experiences significant anxiety. The participant lives with her parents in the Meridan Plains area.

Support is provided within the family home and also to access the community. Assistance is needed with preparing for outings and providing transport for various scheduled activities and appointments.

The suitable support worker for this position must be very calm, patient and compassionate. They must be reliable for scheduled shifts and be able to communicate clearly. We are seeking someone who has effective organisational skills, and a thorough understanding of severe anxiety and the associated impacts.

The required shift is every Monday morning for approximately 5 hours. Other shifts may be required at times, including some weekend shifts.

Position 5 - Female Disability support Worker - Kawana

Seeking a support worker to assist a small family living within the Kawana area.

The suitable person will be open-minded, have a great sense of humour and be very compassionate. They must also be comfortable working around a small, friendly dog who lives inside with the family.

The support worker will need to be willing to provide assistance with various household tasks and other jobs as requested such as cooking meals, clothes washing and household cleaning. The support required is for 2 x 2-hour shifts per week. The days and times for the shifts can be negotiated, to suit both the family and the suitable applicant.

Position 6 - Male Disability Support Worker- Yandina

We are seeking experience and qualified disability support worker to assist with a mature male with TBI, he lives independently with his dog.

Duties include Working with the participant to access the community and improve on hobbies and fitness goals. The participant enjoys being in nature (i.e. fishing, boating, golf and walks) and is also great with fix it up projects. The ideal candidate would be charismatic, good with hands on tasks and able to keep a project on track.

Shift times would be two afternoons a week for 5 hours.

Position 7 - Female Disability Support Worker – Nirimba (West Caloundra)

We are seeking an experienced female Disability Support Worker to assist a mother with her four children before and after school and with appointment during the day each Wednesday – 7.30am to 4.00pm

Assistance with getting children ready for school/ working on their independence skills/ dropping to school and assisting with therapy appointments. Assistance with picking child up from school, working on their independence skills, meal prep, accompanying on activities in the community

The ideal candidates will have experience supporting people with autism spectrum disorder, working with children (or being a parent), with non-verbal children using communication devises. You will be supported in your role by a team leader, behaviour practitioner and relevant therapists.

Position 8 - Female Disability Support Worker – Buderim

Seeking a female disability support worker to assist a family with three children on a Monday and Thursday with school runs and attending appointments. The ideal candidate would like horses, music and nature, be gentle, reliable, have an understanding of autism spectrum disorder and enjoy working with children in a family home.

Monday 2.00pm to 5.00pm

Thursday 7.00am to 9.00am & 2.00pm to 5.00pm

Position 9 - Female Disability Support Worker – Buderim

Seeking a female disability support worker to assist a very busy family with 3 young children with autism spectrum disorder. Duties include assisting their mother with all household duties (laundry, shopping, meal prep, changing sheets etc). The ideal person will be organised, enjoy undertaking household duties, be a good cook, be kind and friendly and like being around children.

Monday, Wednesday & Friday 9.00am to 12.00pm (with some flexibility).

Position 10 - Disability Support Worker – Rosemount (Nambour)

Seeking Disability Support Worker to mentor an 18-year-old young man with has autism spectrum disorder who is socially isolated with pursuing the next stages of life (what to study after yr 12, looking for work, pursuing recreational activities, getting his driver's license). The ideal candidate with have a keen interest in history, be a good listener and be resilient. 8.5 hours per week available (Monday to Friday) days and times flexible.

Position 11 - Disability Support Worker – Rosemount (Nambour)

We are seeking a Disability Support worker to assist a friendly16-year-old boy with autism spectrum disorder to go to the gym, secure part-time work and with sampling other recreational and leisure pursuits. The ideal candidate will be friendly, happy to make suggestions, be positive and patient. 8 hours per week available (Monday to Friday) days and times can be flexible.

Position 12 – Male Disability Support Worker – Peregian Springs

We are seeking a Disability Support Workers to mentor a 15-year-old young man with autism spectrum disorder to access the community to attend recreational pursuits, such as the gym and sampling other activities of interest. The young man would like to learn how to use public transport and travel to Brisbane to visit museums and other places of interest. Your role would include fostering friendships and include prospective friends in these activities. This young man also requires phone check-ins during the week to assist him with planning his homework, prompting to undertake his homework and assessment tasks each week.

Saturday – up to 8 hours and/or

Friday evenings up to 4 hours

2 hours of phone support during the week.

Position 13 – Female Disability Support Worker – Currimundi area:

We are seeking experienced female support workers to join a team that provided daily support to a mature woman at the home she shares with her husband.

Your duties will include, assisting with transfers, toileting, bathing, and all aspects of personal care. Light domestic duties and meal preparation when required and accessing the community for shopping and to attend medical and therapy appointments. Some in-home overnight support will also be required for several weekends per year.

Available shifts are 7.00am to 1.00pm and 1.00pm to 7.00pm throughout the week.

Position 14 – Female Disability Support Worker - Dickie Beach.

We are seeking an experienced female Disability Support Workers to assist a mother with her three children before and after school

Available shifts 7.30am to 10.30am and 2.00pm to 5.00pm weekdays.

Your duties will include assistance with school prep/ lunches/ tidying/ school drop offs/ social and community support (IE appts) & life admin help with their mum. Assistance with school pick-ups, after school activities/appointments, & meal prep.

The ideal candidates will be kind, open-minded, have a nurturing nature, be creative and be great with children.

• Current First Aid Certificate with CPR (or be willing to obtain)
• National Police check obtained within the last 12 months.
• Valid Queensland Driver licence and access to registered, insured vehicle.
