About us:
Nursing and Midwifery Workforce Unit is a Central Queensland Health (CQ Health) resource unit that supports the Nursing and Midwifery profession in strategic recruitment and retention. NMWU supports the line managers in the following:
- Agency Nursing/Midwifery engagement
- Yearly Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) registration renewal reporting
- Business Planning Framework support
- Credentialing and Defining Scope of Clinical Practice
- Graduate recruitment and reporting
- Recruitment support
About the role:
- Is accountable for the planning, implementation coordination and application of the Business Planning Framework (BPF) across CQ Health nursing and midwifery services in accordance with legislative requirements and industrial frameworks.
- Delivers accurate professional advice in accordance with NMBA standards, industrial awards, agreements, and Human Resource Management (HRM) policies.
- Works collaboratively with Nursing Leads across the district to achieve strategic leadership, innovation, sustainability, and excellence for the nursing and midwifery workforce.
- Leads the post-implementation aspect of the Integrated Workforce Management System (IWFM) project, in collaboration with the Department of Health and Central West Hospital and Health Service.
- Liaises with clinical networks and other internal and external stakeholders in relation to nursing/midwifery standards of practice to achieve targets and in turn healthcare outcomes.
About you:
- Current registration as a Registered Nurse or Registered Midwife with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) and a current annual practising certificate are mandatory for this position.
- While not mandatory, a relevant post graduate qualification would be well regarded.
What we offer:
Total remuneration value of up to $198,959 p.a. is comprised of:
- An hourly rate of $87.94 p.h.
- 12.75% employer superannuation contribution
- 17.5% leave loading
