About the Project
Our client is undertaking a major civil construction project in Townsville. This project presents a unique mix of civil, environmental, and construction challenges, offering an exciting opportunity for a proactive Safety Advisor to make a real impact.

The Role
We are seeking a Safety Advisor to support the project team in ensuring compliance, safety, and best practices across all site activities. Working 20 hours per week, you will play a crucial role in fostering a strong safety culture.

Responsibilities:

• Provide expert safety advice and guidance on-site.
• Ensure compliance with WHS legislation, policies, and procedures.
• Conduct site inspections, risk assessments, and incident investigations.
• Develop and implement safety initiatives to improve site practices.
• Deliver toolbox talks and safety training as required.
• Foster a proactive, safety-first culture within the team.

About You:

• Proven experience as a Safety Advisor in civil construction or a related field.
• Strong knowledge of WHS legislation, risk management, and compliance.
• Excellent communication and leadership skills.
• Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team.
• Cert IV in Work Health & Safety (or higher) preferred.
