Safety Advisor – Mount Victoria, NSW.

Minecon Recruitment are working with one of Australia’s most trusted Civil Contractors to employ Safety Advisors to drive the Mount Victoria Project to successful completion. This opportunity will see you working on a Landmark Slope stabilisation Project within the New South Wales hinterland.

About this opportunity:

• Ongoing and stable opportunity
• Accommodation provided for anyone not local to the Project
• 1st April commencement
• Above market package, dependent on experience
• Daily allowances applicable (Travel and Meal)
• Roster: Sunday to Thursday (Night shift)
• Drive in, Drive out position

Key accountabilities include, but do not limit to:

• Review and maintain safety management plans and procedures in accordance with legislation and best practices.
• Conduct regular site inspections and audits to monitor compliance and identify potential safety hazards.
• Provide training and support to employees on safety practices, policies, and compliance requirements.
• Investigate incidents and accidents, prepare reports, and implement corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
• Collaborate with project managers and teams to promote a strong safety culture and ensure safe work practices.
• Stay updated on relevant legislation, industry standards, and emerging safety trends

Minimum requirements to be considered:

• Diploma in WHS (minimum requirement)
• 5+ years of experience in a similar role, with recent experience on a large civil project
• Environmental experience (Desirable)
• Certificate IV in Training & Assessment (Desirable)
• Strong knowledge of WHS practices, standards, and codes (TFNSW)
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and other relevant software
• Experience with Lead Auditor Safety
• Experience in implementing management systems and proven capacity to influence and build team relationships
