About the role
Are you quick on the keyboard, with a keen eye for detail? Have experience working within a team, where there are periods of solo work? Have you juggled multiple data bases and conflicting priorities?
The Employment Screening Unit handles a high volume of work, performing a range of checks, to include criminal history checks, integrity declarations and online information management systems.
Familiarity with a range of online systems, strong team skills, a strong customer service attitude and a liking for working in an environment where the work being undertaken forms part of a process that is repeated for each employment screening application processed will make you a strong candidate for these roles
Assistant Employment Screening Officers (Level 2) have a range of responsibilities in processing employment screens being undertaken. Records Management is a crucial component of the role. The position involves operating a number of online systems that support the obtaining of information required for employment screening. The role requires the position holder to communicate with applicants and service providers by telephone and in written communications.
Employment Screening Officers (Level 3) are also involved in processing employment screens being undertaken. The position holder assesses information received from applicants and various other sources, determining whether the applicant meets the required integrity standards for employment or engagement or whether the application needs to be referred to a senior officer for further review. The role requires the position holder to make informed decisions.

Eligibility
It is a requirement that the position holder is successful in obtaining a Negative Vetting Level One security clearance as a condition of employment and maintain the clearance for the duration of their employment in the position. Only Australian Citizens are eligible to hold the Negative Vetting Level One security clearance.
