Assistant Project Officer - Liquor & Gaming NSW

- Clerk Grade 5/6 with starting salary range of $97,027 - $107,059 pa plus superannuation and annual leave loading

About the Role
The Assistant Project Officer assists the Licensing Governance and Support team to deliver projects which enable Liquor and Gaming NSW (L&GNSW) to meet government, customer and community expectations as a modern fit for purpose regulator.
The Assistant Project Officer will perform administrative and project support activities to contribute to the development and delivery of a range of projects to meet L&GNSW’s objectives. These may include; implementing and supporting system and process changes in response to regulation changes, working with licensing subject matter experts to support the development of standard operating procedures and collaborating with L&GNSW licensing teams to support continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide a range of project and administrative support services relevant to licensing programs, including supporting the preparation of reports and briefs, and coordinating resources, to ensure project outcomes are achieved on time, on budget, to quality standards and within agreed scope.
- Update and maintain documentation and monitor project plans to ensure accessibility of quality information and compliance with agency project management methodology.
- Conduct research, analysis, and stakeholder consultation to support project areas, contributing to reports and evaluations for decision-making.
- Coordinate working groups and consultations to facilitate exchange of information and support the achievement of project milestones, general service expectations and outcomes.
- Develop and maintain customer, stakeholders and vendor relationships through effective communication, negotiation, and issues management to ensure project deliverables are met.
- Support the collection and analysis of relevant data and information to identify emerging issues and track and report on progress against established milestones and deliverables.
- Comply and assist with administrative systems and processes to ensure L&GNSW information is accurate, stored correctly and accessible.
To be successful you will have:
- Strong organisational and time-management skills to handle multiple projects effectively.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to engage with a variety of stakeholders.
- Ability to manage and update project documentation and reports in line with established standards.
- Experience in research and analysis, ideally in a project-based environment.
- A collaborative approach with the ability to assist teams in achieving project goals.
- A proactive attitude with a willingness to take on new challenges.

- The person occupying the role may be designated as a key official under section 16 of the Gaming and Liquor Administration Act 2007, and may be subject to restrictions, such as restrictions on attending certain premises.
