Building Response Australia is seeking an repair supervisor AND an Assessor (1x position each available) to fulfil the needs of a expanding company. We are currently looking to bring onboard two staff due to continued growth in the sector.

Role 1 - Assessor

As an Assessor you will be responsible for estimating and assessing insurance repairs for some of Australia's leading insurers. Building Response prides itself on the thoroughness of our estimating and reporting, leading to minimal variations being required for our clients. We have an active portfolio with both BAU claims. EOL and of course CAT events. We manage our claims end to end from assessment, make safe right through to repairs and final handover.

We are looking for you to possess the following skills;

• Communicate proactively with policy holders, insurers and trade contractors
• The ability to produce thorough, detailed, well written reports
• Estimate claims leaving no stone unturned
• Have excellent customer service skills and have an empathetic manner.
• Be quality focused on all times.
• Be able to work independently and as a strong team member when required.
• Manage your time effectively and efficiently.
• Liaise with specialists for external reports and determine cause of damages

About you

We are looking for a well presented, well organised and thorough assessors to work with our team to provide comprehensive assessments and estimates for our clients. You will be working alongside our Repair Supervisors and Restoration division also, to have end to end knowledge of the claim before it is submitted to our clients.

You’ll also have:

• Previous residential building insurance industry experience - Estimating and assessing.
• Relevant trade qualification (Carpentry preferred)
• Current drivers’ licence.
• Intermediate computer skills (Microsoft Word, Outlook and Excel).
• Sound knowledge of National Construction Code (NCC).
• Prime Ecosystem experience advantageous

Role 2 - Repair Supervisor

As a Repair Supervisor your role will be dynamic and fluid, managing claims from initiation of signed contracts, through to measuring up the job, to trade allocations right through to repair completion and sign off.

We are looking for you to possess the following skills;

• Communicate proactively with policy holders, insurers and trade contractors
• Ensure repairs are delivered to a high standard of quality and expertise.
• Project manage a range of residential property claims, from minor patch and paint to large loss
• Have excellent customer service skills and have an empathetic manner.
• Be quality focused on all times.
• Be able to work independently and as a strong team member when required.
• Manage your time effectively and efficiently.
• Be on top of any issues that may arise onsite and communicate changes to the scope of works to all stakeholders

About you

We are looking for a well presented, well organised and a self-motivated individual with hands-on building industry experience, who desires to progress their career and grow within a dynamic company.

You’ll also have:

• Previous residential building insurance industry experience.
• Relevant trade qualification (Carpentry preferred)
• QBCC supervisor certification
• Current drivers’ licence.
• Intermediate computer skills (Microsoft Word, Outlook and Excel).
• Sound knowledge of National Construction Code (NCC).
